Coaching Qualifications
The JAC deliver and maintain a coach teaching syllabus, process, coach tutor and coaching level award scheme, which is monitored and maintained by the JAC Coaching Development Officer.
JAC Coach Levels 1 (Assistant Coach), 2 (Coach) and 3 (Senior Coach) are only awarded by the JAC coach tutors. The associated content for these levels is in accordance with the UK Governments Sporting Bodies in England, Wales and Scotland and includes such subject matter for diversity, children, safeguarding and vulnerable adults. Coaches in control of children under 18 years of age must have DBS clearance.
Coaches are expected to hold up-to-date first responder training and certification.
JAC Coaches undergo a regular revalidation process. Hombu instructor ranks of Fukushidoin, Shidoin and Shihan do not substitute for JAC coaching qualifications.
